What it costs

Coast is free. The writing happens in your own Claude or ChatGPT account, on that provider's plan and at its price, not Coast's. You can delete your account from Settings at any time; your private data is then deleted as the privacy policy says.

What Coast does and does not do

Coast drafts work for you to review. It never submits anything to Canvas or to an instructor. Every draft shows the course's own AI-use rule at the top, read from the syllabus; following that rule is your responsibility, and Coast will not hide it from you. Coast reports grades as Canvas reports them and does not predict them.

Your accounts

The Canvas token and the agent account, Claude or ChatGPT, are yours. Coast uses the token only to read your courses. You are responsible for keeping to your university's and your agent provider's terms for those accounts.

Pooled course data

By signing up you agree that what describes a course, listed in the privacy policy, is shared with other Coast students in that section. Your own coursework is not.
